ARTIST

NEVER

Benjamin Petit, known as "Never," is a French artist born in 1978 in Paris. From childhood, he was passionate about drawing, painting, and especially urban calligraphy. Fascinated by the letter, its form, its energy, its expressive power, he made it the heart of his artistic practice very early on.

In 1994, he enrolled in a graphic design school in Paris. Two years later, he discovered graffiti and tagging, which he practiced intensely in the capital. It was then that he chose his pseudonym: Never, inspired by his irrepressible need to create relentlessly...never stop. He honed his style in the tunnels and carriages of the Paris metro, developing a lively, spontaneous, almost choreographic approach. His writing became instinctive, fluid, and unique.

Since 2017, he has been translating his world onto canvas. There, he explores new aesthetic dimensions, blending abstraction and typography in a subtle balance between raw energy and control. Each work is a masterful improvisation, a graphic dance where the letter remains central. True to his passion for letters in all their forms, he plays with contrasts, textures, and rhythms. His work reflects a constant search for harmony between expressive power and freedom of gesture.
